“For years, Ghana had been on my radar, but it always felt like one of those distant dreams—something you hear about but never quite imagine yourself experiencing.
That changed when my friend Amina took the trip. When she returned, she wasn’t the same person. Her spirit carried something new, something I couldn’t quite define at first. She had a glow about her. Her wardrobe shifted, her hairstyle changed, and even the way she carried herself seemed different. It wasn’t surface level. It was deeper, like she had touched something ancient and sacred, and it had touched her back. I took the 2025 tour, and during one of the events I remembered that I hadn’t laughed like that in twenty years. Not the polite chuckle you give a stranger, not the forced laugh in a business meeting—this was the deep, belly-shaking kind of laughter that leaves you breathless and cleanses something inside of you. It happened on the back of our travel bus in Ghana.
Strangely enough, I couldn’t even tell you what we were laughing about. We weren’t laughing at anything in particular; we were simply caught up in a spirit of joy. For me, that bus ride was symbolic. It was as if Ghana herself had reached into my chest, dusted off a forgotten part of me, and gave me back the freedom to laugh again. -Larry Wilson, Ultra Elite Group
